Skilled Immigrants (average processing time is 6 – 12 months)

Skilled workers are selected as permanent residents based on their education, work experience, knowledge of English and/or French, and other factors such as relatives in Canada, meeting the required benchmark is a major indication that a skilled immigrant will become economically established in Canada.

Main Criteria: If you or your spouse are a skilled workers who has at least one year of experience in the past 10 years in one or more of the occupations listed below “even if your educational background was not in the same field”, kindly note that this list changes at the end of each fiscal year, the list for the year of 2009 is:

In brief; If you or your spouse worked for a year in the past 10 years in any of the above occupations then you would qualify on the condition that you meet the “67 points” benchmark, here is how points are calculated:

Arranged employment in Canada (Out of our experience, it is not easy to gain those points as you have to have job offer certified from HRDC Canada) Maximum 10 points
Adaptability (Educated spouse honors you 4 points, a close Canadian relative of you or your spouse that lives in Canada honors you 5 points) Maximum 10 points
Total Maximum 100 points
Pass mark 67 points

Process goes as follows

  1. We prepare a contract and a power of attorney authorizing our firm to process your file on your behalf. (this contract contains obligations fall on you and other that fall on us), our main obligation consists of us guaranteeing your positive interview with the immigration officer otherwise all what you have paid us will be fully refunded to you), upon signing the contract, you pay your first payment to us which is 1200 USD.
  2. We will process your file after we collect your correspondence (very basic documents are need for me to process your application, such copy of the passports and a simple application that we fill out).
  3. You will be issued a file number in 2 months time (this is when you pay your second payment to us of 1000 USD).
  4. From the date you receive your file number, it will take 4 - 10  months to attend an interview or pass without an interview, if an interview is needed then I will be training you very well to make sure you will pass the interview, this is when you pay your last payment of 1700 USD) and your immigrant visa will be issued afterwards.
  5. Throughout the process, You have to undertake the General IELTS test (only for the principal applicant), it will test your reading, writing , speaking and Listening, you will be marked for each one of the four bands out of 9 separately, you need to score the required score at the four  bands, you can undergo this test at the British Council, however, sometimes there would be other centers that do this test, please visit www.ielts.org for further details, please note that you do need to buy a book from the British council before you do the test for you to get used to the test as 40 percent of it is the practice, do not underestimate this test, if you did not get the required score your case will be rejected at the end of the process.
